Make Your Choices!

Dear All Bloggers:

One of the most helpful things for a photographer is to get some feedback. If you are willing, would you look at the images on my blog and let me know which photo you like the best and why? If you are having trouble posting a comment, just send me an email. I am a feedback junkie so please be brutally honest.

I am wanting to "define" myself and my photography work and it helps tremendously to know the impact of my photos on the viewer...a little like a dance.

This IS the last blog. I promise. I look forward to your feedback and to reconnecting when I return.

Thanks, Linda

  1. Picking my favorite is a tough call, so I am going to have to vote for 2, the one with the older lady paddling and the one with the woman squatting on the dock. I really like them because they capture an uncensored moment in the people's lives- they aren't staged- the people aren't aware you're taking the pictures- and they are very focused on their actions. The give me a real sense of that specific moment in time and place. Both the pictures are also exotic without feeling forced, they are just normal people doing normal things in their lives, but their lives are so different from ours that the pictures really make you wonder what their lives are like, and realize how very differently many people live. I also like that there is water in the pictures, it's a personal thing, I find water to be very calming.

  2. Estrella and I both took a look and enjoyed a general class of photo that embodies amazing color and pattern - namely the silver fish in the steamer baskets, and the shots that appear to be above the Floating Market. They evoke so much vibrancy of place. Looking forward to seeing you soon - safe travels! BJ

  3. My clear favorite is the one of the elderly women paddling, I love the determination and intensity of her being along with the forward movement that you captured in the shot. Perhaps it is my bias towards kayaking that draws me to this photo, but so be it. Thanks so much for sharing the colors and feelings of your journey through the lens of your camera. Michael
